Elephant and birds chalice bowl

This is one of my favourite pieces. Hand slabbed from Keuper red stoneware clay, decorated with sgraffito slip and clear glaze. A cheeky bird sits upon an elephant in the bowl, while an array of water birds and palm trees stalk around the bottom.

115mm tall x 156mm top diameter and 74mm bottom diameter.

Each of my ceramic pieces are hand built and decorated, and take several hours to a few days to complete. Each one is completely unique, signed, and dated.
